MHS Hospital – Affordable Healthcare for All

Moonlight Foundation is establishing MHS Hospital, a 30-bed charitable multispeciality hospital in Rejinagar, Murshidabad. The hospital aims to serve underprivileged and rural communities who otherwise cannot afford quality medical care.

Key Highlights of the Project:

Location: Tehatta, Nadia, West Bengal

Total Beds: 30 (General & Emergency)

Departments Planned: General Medicine, Pediatrics, Gynecology, Minor Surgery, Diagnostics

Target Beneficiaries: Daily wage workers, elderly, women & children from backward areas

Services:

Low-cost OPD and consultation

Free/Discounted medicines for the poor

Maternal & child care unit

Health awareness camps in remote villages

Mobile clinic van for outreach

Special Focus:

Women’s health (pre & postnatal care)

Non-communicable diseases (like diabetes, BP)

Emergency stabilization unit

This project is not just about treatment, but about restoring dignity through healthcare.

2. Education for Every Child – Empowering Futures

At Moonlight Foundation, we believe education is a fundamental right, not a privilege. Through this project, we aim to empower children from underprivileged backgrounds by addressing the barriers they face in continuing their studies.

Key Components:

Free Coaching Classes: Regular classes conducted by volunteer teachers to help school students improve academic performance.

Books & Stationery Distribution: Annual drives to distribute textbooks, notebooks, pens, and schoolbags to children in need.

Merit-Based Scholarships: Financial support for bright students who face economic hardship but show promise in academics.

Digital Learning Support: Providing mobile devices, digital content, or smart classes in remote areas (planned).

Career & Skill Guidance: Organizing workshops and motivational sessions for students to build future-ready mindsets.

This initiative not only educates but also builds confidence, values, and hope for a better future.

3. Social Welfare Programs – Serving with Compassion

At Moonlight Foundation, we believe true social change begins with empathy. Our welfare programs are designed to directly impact the lives of families struggling with poverty and crisis.

🍚 Monthly Ration Distribution

Every month, we provide essential food supplies (rice, dal, oil, salt, etc.) to families who cannot afford basic necessities. This ensures food security for the elderly, widows, and daily wage laborers in rural areas.

🧣 Winter Blanket Drive

During harsh winters, we distribute blankets and warm clothes to the homeless and low-income families, protecting them from cold-related health risks. This drive is done annually, especially in remote and underdeveloped villages.

🩸 Blood Donation Camps

In collaboration with local hospitals and volunteers, we organize blood donation camps to ensure emergency blood availability in rural areas. These camps raise awareness about voluntary blood donation and help save countless lives.

Each initiative is community-driven and focused on dignity, relief, and sustainability. Through your support, we aim to scale these programs across more districts in West Bengal and beyond.
